# Settings Overview

### Introduction

This guide gives new users and administrators a clear, structured understanding of the Settings and Administration sections inside CybaOps. It covers how to manage user details, company information, security features such as MFA, organisational compliance documents, and third‑party security tool integrations

<details open>

Personal Information

The Personal Information tab contains details specific to the logged‑in user. This is where individuals manage their own profile and security configuration.

**Editable Details**

You can change:

* First name
* Last name
* Email address
 * When changing your email address, you will be required to use that new email address when you login in the future
* Telephone number

**Preferences**

If this shows as "System Default", you are able to change between light and dark mode as is your preference.

<picture></picture>

A Partner can control this setting in the [Brand Kit](/settings/brand-kit.md), setting the platform as only light or only dark for all users.

**Security Settings**

This section also contains controls for:

* Password updates (requires entering your current password first)
* Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) – can be turned on or off

{% hint style="info" %}
**If MFA is switched off:**

* It becomes visible to all admins in the User Table
* The platform automatically creates an immediate action for the organisation to restore MFA
* This ensures the organisation maintains strong authentication hygiene.
 {% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

Company Details

The Company Details tab manages organisation-wide account information.

You can update:

* Company Details
 * Company name
 * Address
 * Postcode
* Finance/Account contact:
 * First name
 * Last name
 * Email address
 * Telephone number

Maintaining this section ensures accurate billing, support communications, and compliance messaging.

</details>

<details>

User Management

The User Management tab is one of the key administrative tools in CybaOps. It provides access to manage all users within the tenancy.

**Search & View Users**

* Real‑time search: results appear as soon as you begin typing

**Adding Users**

To add a user, an admin must provide:

* First name
* Last name
* Email address
* Role (Admin or User)
* **Optional fields:**
 * Contact number
 * Job title

**When a user is added, they receive:**

* A welcome email
* A magic link to set up their account
* Prompts to create a password and enable MFA

**User Roles**

* Admin – full permissions
* User – read‑only access (cannot take actions but can view tenancy data)

**Editing Users**

Admins can edit:

* First name
* Last name
* Contact number
* Job title
* Email address
 * Please note when editing the user will be required to use that email address to log into the platform in the future
* Role (Admin or user)

**Admins can also:**

* Reset user passwords
* Disable MFA

**Deleting Users**

Deleting a user triggers a confirmation screen. After deletion:

* User identity (name/email) is replaced with an anonymised ID
* All previous actions/notes remain for audit purposes
* This process cannot be undone

This ensures compliance with record‑keeping requirements while protecting personal identity.

</details>

<details>

Data & Privacy

This section contains key legal and compliance assets.

Included documents:

* End User Agreements
* Privacy Policies
* Cookie Policies

These documents allow users and auditors to understand the organisation’s privacy posture and obligations.

</details>

<details>

Connectors

The Connectors tab lists all third‑party security tool integrations available under your licence. Only tools applicable to your licence appear.

**Examples of available connectors**

Each integration requires certain identifiers or credentials. When generating the relevant information you will need to make sure the appropriate settings are applied.

Follow the guides in [Connectors](/getting-started/onboarding/connectors.md) to ensure that you are configuring them correctly.

Cover image

Microsoft Defender

Client ID

Secret

Microsoft Tenant ID

/files/6tdLoucF7nFL8alFvsSt

Sentinel One

URL

Secret

/files/Jx56rb4KQjMGhoNEBECT

Entra

Tenant ID

Client ID

Client Secret

/files/IAdsxdRMFj997nSVmGUe

Microsoft Sentinel

Client ID

Secret token

Resource Group Name

Subscription ID

Workspace name

Microsoft Tenant ID

/files/ODUkTWddW6xsTJlZcDIn

CrowdStrike

Client ID

Customer ID

Secret

Member ID

/files/UkTk1vxA98OLobYfEdwd

Bitdefender

Organisation ID

Secret

/files/bnnd30dn4wko72apquW0

Flare

Flare ID

/files/D1EIvd3yjzqd6FB1Q2nQ

Sophos

Client ID

Secret

/files/i3EQlJHjYd6dtPJqqNz9

Lima Charlie

/files/xVFxnsJSJjjI0dpFzWhC

{% hint style="info" %}
After providing the required values, **clicking Connect**:

* Activates the connector
* Adds it to the Schedule Screen
* This allows CybaOps to receive data from the connected system.
 {% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

Schedule Screen

Accessible from the side navigation bar:

<picture></picture>

The Schedule Screen shows all activated connectors. This helps maintain visibility over external integrations feeding data into the platform.

Newly enabled connectors display here as soon as setup is completed.

**Admins can use this screen to confirm:**

* Which connectors are active
* Whether new connectors have been added successfully
* The current status of a connector
* The last time a connector was run
* The next time a connector is due to run

{% hint style="info" %}
Admins can also **BUMP** a connector. **Bumping a connector**:

* Forces the connector processes to run NOW and not at the next scheduled run time
 {% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cybaops.com/settings/settings-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
